I am lucky to have a friend close to me, that is as creative and crazy (when it comes to making things) like me.
When I visit her a couple of days ago I got so many lovely earrings with me back home that I now can have a new pair every day! And just a week before that, she gave me some yarn that she have no use of right now.
Me. Very. Happy.
She makes so many lovely things, and don’t be afraid to ask her for something customdesigned items. Like me, she loves the challenge! ^_^
We all get stuck in a dark place sometimes!
A place where our souls feels cold and heavy, where even the most joyful experience in your life have a hard time to bring a smile to your lips.
Everyone experience this sometimes. Some gets exposed to it for shorter or longer times. Some learn to live with the darkness. Some can't fight it.
Myself, my soul is feeling very cold right now. That's all right, I have been here before. It will pass when my soul have been processing everything I feel is unfair. Everything that I thought I would have, but will not be. And who do not hate the feeling of crushed dreams and hope.
Sorry for a dark post, but sometimes it's just nice to express myself, and I'm really sick of always trying to be so damn positive.
Of course it will be more lovable posts soon.

I have been having some very inspiring and wonderful days, maybe even weeks after my lovely friend ElouEarth dragged me into a little adventure. I'm having so much energy and good feelings right now that I don't know what to do, except knit and create!
Yesterday started even my sweet friend Amanda sewing her own summer top!
Last week I took the chance to make a little photo shoot with my friend Amanda.
The first garment of this year is this beautiful dress with crochet neck piece.
Handcraft is very important for me.
It's my passion, my life, my time spent into a finished work.
Sometimes I wish that people could have the equal knowledge and passion, in handicraft, so that they could appreciate it like I do.
I always believe that everyone is creative, we all channel it in different ways.
Also, I strongly believe that every one can learn a handicraft. You just need to find out what works for you.
Even my best friend, who is unbelievable creative (but very short fuse for when it comes to the patience of handicraft, knitting!) knows how to knit and she has come to the conclusion that to knit
Lovvika gloves
is in her area of patience. Not too difficult and not too much time consuming. Now, after some years, she knows how to knit those gloves by heart. ^_^
So, everyone can!
Challenge yourself by learning a handicraft.
And never forget to be creative.

Working on the last crochet details around (what feels forever) the bedspread.
I know that I will be feeling very proud over myself when this project is done. ^_^
So... a other of mine projects have been to get rid of some of my old yarn. (such I have bought but never used, yarn that I wouldn't use for myself anymore or "leftover" from earlier projects.)
Especially colors! I'm recently using more black or darker colors in my creations so what would I do with so much pastel colored yarn.???
My best friend suggested baby clothes, so that's what I'm trying with, and some garment is going to be cardigans. And when it's such a small garment it's easy to try new things!
So I practiced with knitting motifs that I have designed.
(It have never been easy for me to handle! But it's so fun!)
Practice gives experience. ^_^
I am always in my jungle of yarn, working on all my projects. (Right now: 4 work in progress, and maybe 1* amount of dormant!)
I think I need to get some structure in this... or, just fix that later.
My biggest project in this moment (and also for all my years as a craftsman) is a crochet bedspread.
I have seen them before and always thought "DAMN! Too big, too much... not in my lifetime!"
But then, of course, it came a request from a friend. And in that time it was very low on inspiration for me, so I really needed that push!
SO NOW! After a lot of work, and some trouble to find the yarn, I'm done with the lengths I needed to do.
Hopefully there are not to much left. ^_^
My work needed another one of the purse to be able to show in the second store, located in Åkermyntan.
No funny business here (it's the same model of purse), just another kind of yarn and another kind of metal frame.
For those who like it more fluffy. ^_^
I got one assignment from work last week.
To make a sweet little purse and write instruction to it.
It was so that I overheard my boss when she was talking to another coworker about making a purse to show as inspiration to customers . But that she sadly didn't have any good instructions for it, and then...
Unbelievable how happy I'm with my new work!
Working in a yarn shop is so fun. ^_^
Finally I'm closer to my passion of handicraft and design. Even though it's very, very hard not to buy home all the yarn in the store. SO MUCH THINGS TO DO!
And it's not a full time work (only 50%) so I have time to work on my own projects too.
