Last week I took the chance to make a little photo shoot with my friend Amanda.
The first garment of this year is this beautiful dress with crochet neck piece.
So... a other of mine projects have been to get rid of some of my old yarn. (such I have bought but never used, yarn that I wouldn't use for myself anymore or "leftover" from earlier projects.)
Especially colors! I'm recently using more black or darker colors in my creations so what would I do with so much pastel colored yarn.???
My best friend suggested baby clothes, so that's what I'm trying with, and some garment is going to be cardigans. And when it's such a small garment it's easy to try new things!
So I practiced with knitting motifs that I have designed.
(It have never been easy for me to handle! But it's so fun!)
Practice gives experience. ^_^
On my holidays in France I took the chance to photograph an old "top-dress" that I made some years ago.
I had some plans of having a photo session with a lot of clothes. But I will save that for later.
So for now here is some wonderful pictures from our house in French Riviera.
One part in my summer collection is going to be a cardigan. It is going to end up in a very romantic style, not what I had planned but you have to be open for changes have I learned.
And hopefully the results will be amazing because the handmade buttons are so sweet.
This was the first time I tried to coloring at home with natural materials. Before have I tried to coloring with color you have to wash in the washing machine with the fabric. (Usually with unsatisfying results for me.) But this was more fun and I must say the results is so crazy good!
Who thought that it could end up this great with only a little tea. I should have done this a long time ago.
I hope my summer wardrobe will become as beautiful as I believe it can be!
And so far have I made one sweet little top to wear for, what I hope, will be a wonderful summer.
It's so nice to finally show a new (finished) dress.
This dress is knitted in a dark/old pink, and crochet in a lighter old pink. (I'm not sure if "old pink" is the correct name of the color in English.)
I'm really satisfied with the results of this design, and I had a chance to try it out on the dance floor on a cruise.
The results concluded in that I was feeling like the queen of the ocean.
