French Riviera
On my holidays in France I took the chance to photograph an old "top-dress" that I made some years ago.
I had some plans of having a photo session with a lot of clothes. But I will save that for later.
So for now here is some wonderful pictures from our house in French Riviera.
Crochet shawl for the cool summer nights
The summer is good and warm. I'm always longing for it every year. (Summer in Sweden is pretty short and rainy, so yes, we Swedes get crazy when we get some sun.) But no matter how hot it is, on the summer night is always cooler, and after a hot day in the sun it's unavoidable to freeze a little in the evening. Then, on the late nice cool summer nights, a crochet shawl is perfect.
Flower buttons
One part in my summer collection is going to be a cardigan. It is going to end up in a very romantic style, not what I had planned but you have to be open for changes have I learned.
And hopefully the results will be amazing because the handmade buttons are so sweet.
A change of feeling
My most recent project on my sewing machine is to shorten up a dress for a friend.
She thought the dress was too long for her, more suitable for older women. And I can sometimes have the same thoughts or feelings when I'm looking on some clothes in stores. I can find dresses that are super sweet but have a length that would make me feel very naked.
That is what I like of making clothes to friends and family. That I can help them to get that little extra touch that would make everything a little more fun. And so that the clothes are suiting them better than they are suiting the clothes. ^_^
